Woooooooh!

O/T but I'm so happy! We still owed the hospital over $5300 from our DD's birth in sept '09, I was covered but neither mine nor DH's insurance at the time (we weren't married yet so had separate insurance) would cover our DD's bill (my bill was over $32,000, but apparently she had her own separate bill ). So we've been so stressed about it for ages, the hospital was going to take us to court, they had a collector on the case and everything, but we finally got approved for financial aid from the hospital, and now we don't owe anything I'm so relived because we aren't even coping financially now, I don't know what would have happened if we'd had to have DH's wages garnished.

Now this is cleared up, but who knows how much we are going to owe when this one is born, we still have to pay 20% of the bill even though we have insurance
At least I can relax for now...well mentally at least, no amount of good news is going to keep my DD from climbing all over me all day

Good to hear something positive! Just makes me realise how lucky we are in the UK (and we still find time to moan about the NHS!). Ok, so the NHS might not be perfect but at least we don't have huge bills for having our babies! It must feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders, now you can kick back and relax until this lo arrives (if your dd gives you the chance!). x

that's good you don't have to worry about that now hun

sometimes i wish that in America people could have free health care, like we do in the UK.
of course people complain about our NHS but we can always pay extra and go privately.
i guess you don't really have an option but to pay into insurance or pay directly for care.
xxx
