Thanks for the link, I've read a few unassisted birth stories and think I'll go down that route for my next one (fingers crossed there'll be more!).
I've already put on my birthplan that I want as little intervention as possible from my midwife and I'm sure once DH has gone through this birth with me he'll be confident enough to be my 'midwife' next time

I'm reading that book right now, The Farm sounds so wonderful and peaceful! If I wasn't homebirthing and was really rich I'd be flying over there to give birth

I really, really can't wait - the excitement is driving me mad! I still may have 8 weeks to go yet, but I'm ready for the baby now and feel like I could (and want to) pop at any minute!!

Hmm I think I pasted the wrong link in my earlier reply, it was supposed to be: http://www.unassistedchildbirth.com/ This one has a bunch of nice birth stories.

Yeah but I'm allowing for that I may go over my due date by 2 weeks... (don't they say people are generally 2 weeks either side when they go into labour?)
