I'm also planning on a home birth. But not sure what to wear as my mum will be my midwife and not entirely sure if i'll feel altogether comfortable being naked in front of her. Maybe and oversized t-shirt that I usually sleep in.

i wont be naked as the babies father and my mom are going to be with me and i am no longer with the babies father so dnt feel comfortable being totally naked infront of him, ive bought a nightie to wear, im not breastfeeding so its not essential for her to able to have access to my breast straight away.

I have a nightgown that buttons up at the front.I had a similar one for the last birth and it was great as I could have my modesty but when baby was born she could have the skin to skin cotact straight away without me having to undress.

I'm not very comfortable with people seeing me naked *shy* so I am going to wear a nightie and then it will be easy for them to do there examinations, although I will take some pj bottoms in case its cold and my OH will have to dress/undress me :P

I've got a nightshirt for labour but it might end up comming off if I get too uncomfortable. Then for afterwards I have a camisole since I figured the one I wear during the birth will become all scuzzed up with sweat and stuff. It's got a button front too so I can breast feed.

I had a hospital gown and some rather natty dark green support stockings but then I had a c-section. I had a couple of jersey low cut nighties so that I could pop a boob or two out for when I was on the ward.

Thanks everyone!

I don't like clothing either, but I tend to get very cold if temps flucuate a lot, and I hate being cold worse than I dislike wearing clothes LOL...

I like the idea of something that is button up in the front, and I'm not entirely worried about the "bottom stuff" as I am about letting the girls out for everyone to see... they are large, and I'm very self conscious about them.

The business end of things, I figure I'll just drop the pants whenever things get going good, and when I'm in the birth pool, otherwise it'll be nice having somthing between me and the drafts!

Everyone had such great ideas! Thanks!

I think I decided today that I'm just going to wear my robe that I've had for a while. I like it, it's nice and big and warm, but I want a new one anyway. I'll wear this one for the birth and after that I can get rid of it.
