Is it ok to delay my 37 week midwife app untill 38 weeks?

Have just realised i'm going away and won't be back in time for 37 week app, so was thinking of re-booking it for next week (38wks). Does anyone think this will be a problem? Am i possibly missing a vital time slot for discovering something etc... Have had no major probs throughout.
Thanks for advice to what is prob v stupid worry.. x

i got told to book for 36 weeks and 38 weeks, but couldnt get one for 36 weeks, so am just going at 37. tbh i didnt think they did them at 37 anyway, after 38 weeks they're weekly as far as i remember! if you've had no problems it shouldnt be an issue, i've dont it a few times this time round, usually cos by the time i've rang up for an appt they've all gone!

I thought you go 36 and then 38 weeks anyway? I don't think it will be a prob unless you are high risk or going at 37 weeks for a specific reason?

I would phone the MW and check

This makes sense, as now i think about it i think i'm a week out anyway. As i couldn't get an app one week a while back so had to go the week after. That would be why i've been at 33 and 35 wks instead of 34 and 36.. I don't have mw's number as they don't give you the number where i am, i'm told to call the anti-natal day care unit at hosp if any problems etc.. Thanks for advice girls, think i'm just in a spin cos it's gettin close and i've never done this before and spoke to a stupid woman at another place who said "do you have to go on your trip"
Now, thanks to you ladies, i know i'm better off being seen at 38wks anyway
