I'm Currently Feeling: | Probably not, I'm thinking you'll probably get one done either at your next one after your 33week one or the one after and get your Strep B test done then. They usually start doing the internals at 36ish weeks. They might do one earlier if something happens, like severe pressure or contractions etc like me. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Every two weeks.
I wonder if she'll just do it next week as I'll be 34+4 when I go. Maybe I should prepare myself just incase. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | yeah, you better be mentally prepared than surprised by a swab in risky areas. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Don't worry too much, girls! I was so freaked out about the Strep B swab but it's nothing to lose sleep over. It's done before you know it. I had it at 36 weeks and had worried about it for months!!! And guess what... I had it for nothing since my son was born the next day. Because the results weren't in yet, I got the IV anyway. They had to give me antibiotics every 3 hours just in case I had strep b which could've been passed on to the baby through the birth. Sucks, eh!?! But I tell you, do not worry. As for the exames, they also were done that day for the first time. Which revealed that I was nearly 5cm dilated, totally effaced and not having any pain. (Much to my surprise!) Thus explaining why I was admitted to the hospital that very day. Pregnancy and birth are such an adventure!!! | | | | Status: Offline
