My Transverse baby has turned!!

Some of you may remember that last Friday I had the consultant who said that my baby was still transverse and booked me for an ECV yesterday. Then over the weekend I chickened out (for a variety of reasons) so was back to the consultant today.

I spent a lot of time over the last few days on all fours with my bum in the air which is very sore for me due to SPD and knee problems but I thought what the hell we'll give baby a helping hand........

Well, I hobbled in and proudly anounced to consultant that I was sure that baby had turned. So he had a feel and agreed that baby felt "up and down" then he did loads more prodding and hoaking (which was extremely uncomfortable) and hmmmm'd and got on. Then he did a scan and my baby is now breech!!

So we had another chat about ECVs but the success rate is much lower now for me as she is now breech and seems not to want to turn the right way so I again declined So I'm having a section on tuesday I'm glad that I didn't have the ECV yesterday as I think that the outcome would have been the same only I would have had to wait a further week for my section.

I'm so relieved that it wont be long until I am free of the unpleasant side of being pregnant!! I've been in so much pain for so long and the heartburn is horrible as is the insomnia and I am really looking forward to meeting this little mynx who has been making life so tricky for me recently!!

Oh no, your baby is an awkward little thing just like mine! I was so pleased for you reading the title of your post, but then to find out that yes it has turned but not the right way round!! My C-section is on Tuesday too - I'll be thinking of you!

Thanks!! I'm a little nervous but sure I'd be nervous no matter what!! Now we just need to set the Moses basket up this weekend and everything is ready to rock. My DH is excited too, he was a bit put out as he thought he couldn't be there until I told him that he could so now he is happy.

Thank you!! I'm getting really excited about meeting her!!

This little madam has been going from one version of breech or transverse since 27 weeks when I had my 4D scan......... I'm not surprised that it has come to this, just relieved that I dont have to struggle on anymore.

I dont have a text buddy now you mention it. I'm open to offers if anyone would be up for that wee duty.
