Back from M.W - Babies positioning, im confuzzled

Ive been feeling alot!!! of kicking recently, only to find out for the midwife that baby is head down but lying with her back to my back! She told me to try not to lie back when watching the telly and try and lean forward bend over etc using the birthing ball.

has anyone had this, is it anything to worry about? im freaking out a bit!

any advice for moving her, positions/exersise etc????

thanks xxx

Ava goes in all type of wacky positions because my pelvis is too small for her head to engage and she has no chance of engaging. At my last scan she was in this position and 30 seconds into the scan flipped over and sat breech. Dunno what to suggest aside from what your MW already told you.

yes my son was a back to back baby all the way through labor. What the MW says is excellent advise. if you slouch(which i do all the time) your baby will stay like that.

I dont like to worry people but back to back labor is more painful. so try your hardest to turn little one round.

At least they are aware of the fact he/she is back to back. they wasnt aware of this with me till i was late into labor(useless idiots)

You will be fine

Yep it meant to be more painfull apparently but then i think a lot of back to back babies turn in labour. Its nothing like being breech or anything so its still a normal labour just means the babs is more painful to push out (more back pain i think)
I was told to lie on my left side and kneel over the birth ball too. If your big boobed its more comfy to use a pillow ontop of the birth ball lol

On all fours, bum in the air, elbows on the floor and wiggle your hips about a bit?

It feels amazing too, although you don't look too sexy doing it!

I was going to say all fours and wiggle too, my best mate's two were both back to back and she was told to crawl about on her hands and knees whenever she could!!
It's worth a try? Might be abit of a laugh too?!?!

xx

My son was back to back and labour was fine...so even if they dont turn you can have a normal labour and delivery.
Follow the advise though to see if baby will turn, you never know!

my son was back to back and as others have said it can mean a more painful labour it did for me i did try turning DS by getting on all fours and rocking which is what my midwife suggested, i think it would have worked but he was also on my nerve so it was too painful to do for any real period of time.
if he doesn't turn nothing bad will happen though xx

currently laying over my birthing ball desperately trying to turn a back to back baby!!!

Its not comfy - knees on the carpet - boobs pressing against the ball, but I think its going to be better than a back to back labour!!

x
