Well they say not to do anything till ur 8 week dr check up. I am hoping in those 8 weeks that bf will have dealt with a lot of the extra weight. That takes me to end of Jan begining of Feb, so after that i plan on being back to my pre preg if not better shape by May. After my 8 week check if i get the all clear i will start back at the gym and eat a little more sensible.

I'm not worrying about the weight, my pre-pregnancy weight is massive anyway My mum and dad's buying me a wii fit for Christmas also I plan to do a lot of walking out with the pram too which I plan to do asap and not wait till after 6 weeks check up, its only walking right? And i'll need to get out of the house.

Hi there...
I'm due in January - starting doing line dancing and aquafit now... and really keen to get back into ice skating as soon as I can - was told to wait 4-6wks after the birth (due to exhaustion more than anything).. so I'm just going to play it by ear though
Hope you're all feeling well today,
Purple

Im due on 3rd Nov, and have started my fat chart (lmao) for 1st December. Im planning on having a day off for christmas day, but am hoping I can refrain from pigging out!! :@)

I want to be in better shape than I was before by my holidays next year - Im planning on going away in May. Got 3 excercise DVD's to go at - All the good intentions are there, but whether it happens or not is another thing - I hope so!! xx

There is something about not doing too much exercise too soon, need to wait until some muscle (which naturally splits due to bump) has put itself back together. I think that's what can take 8 weeks.

I'm also assuming that breast feeding is going to help drop some weight, burns 1000 calories a day I think, that's a lot of running!

I don't really have a time scale in mind for trying to get back in shape, maybe see how I'm doing by my birthday (end of Jan) and start healthier eating/a bit more exercise after that if I'm still feeling like a fatty.

I have heard of a body suit type thing that helps everything get back to its normal shape but this was ages ago, any one else heard of it??

I was hoping to start excercising again after 6 weeks and then be back into my normal jeans about 6 weeks after that, but maybe that is WILDLY ambitious! I have been told by friends that 3 months is a realistic target, I have a big bump and weight has gone on my thjighs and bum but I have not put on too much anywhere else. Mind you I still have 7 weeks to go! I too was planning on walking from day 1 as I will need to get out, then using excercise DVDs and maybe starting up the gym again after 6 weeks, but depends how knackered I am breast feeding as I hear it can really take it out of you.
