I've hired mine from Tesco. It cost £27.50 for 4 weeks and then a free 2 week extention if I go overdue.
The only reason I got it from there is because my parents go shopping to that store regilously every week so will def be able to take it back for me.

Seems quite good to me, not too complicated but we will see.

This one. I compared all the stats etc and this came out tops It was fantastic during labour. I would include all it cam with inc new batteries so you'd just need new pads That way you have it cheaper than hiring, no time limit and can resell when you're done

I've never heard of a tens machine. I see that you are all from the UK, and they seem common. What's the deal?

Transcutaneous means 'through the skin'. TENS machines deliver small electrical pulses to the body via electrodes placed on the skin. TENS machines are thought to affect the way pain signals are sent to the brain. Pain signals reach the brain via nerves and the spinal cord. If pain signals can be blocked then the brain will receive fewer signals from the source of the pain. We may then feel less pain.

Basically thats the deal with them.
