Haha, newborn baby clothes tend to be too small for most newborns anyway - You're best off buying 0-3 months.

I'll copy and paste my list of "what baby needs" that I made before I got shopping here... There are some things that mommy will need, too, but it's mostly baby essentials...

Lots and lots of sanitry towels
Breast pads
Nappy Pail
Nappy soak
Nappy liners
Reusable nappies
Toys
Mobile
Breast pump
Baby moniter
Bouncy chair
Delux nursery and bath kit (Argos)
Nursing bra x 2/3
Bottle brush
Nappy rash cream
Cotton wool
Baby wipes
Disposable nappies (newborn)
Hats, scratch mits and socks
Shawl
Cardigens / Jackets
Bedding
Changing bag
Baby bath
Towels
Muslin squares
Bottles
Changing mat
6 Vests/Short sleeved suits
6 Sleep suits / long sleeved body suits
Buggy
Moses Basket
Car seat
Cot

(keep in mind that this was made to what I needed / intended to buy - obviously if you are not breastfeeding you will need a steriliser and you won't need a breast pump, and if you are using disposables, you won't need reusable nappies or any of the stuff that goes with them...)

Good luck and best wishes for your shopping! x

Only 9 weeks to go and you've not done your shopping?! What if baby decides to pop out early??

Well, we have the baby's room ready, the stroller/carseat and my mom has purchased a TON of clothes.
But since we have no idea if it is a boy or a girl we don't wanna buy so much clothes all in neutral colours. So I guess there will be a shopping spree by the second grandma as soon as the baby is out.

Haha, sounds good...

My mother-in-law can't wait to clothes in gendered colours and styles; I reffered to baby as 'her' the other day (as I feel it's a girl and don't like calling him or her 'it') and she had the Next catalogue open at the newborn girls section in a flash! lol

My baby shower is this weekend! haha.. I will be full term then. All I have right now is some clothes, a bassinet, and the bedding that my mother bought; and his crib which was given to us by OHs sister as she wants to keep it in the family (and currently her youngest is the 'baby'). We dont really have time or money to go shopping for what we dont get and they have been saying that we are going to get "everything we need" so I'm kind of depending just on that. I guess we will see..

So far I've bought a newborn outfit (to wear going home from the hospital) and a six months outfit. My moms been buying a few packs of diapers a month since finding out I was pregnant (theres so many now thank goodness she stores them at her house) lol... We also have the crib. I'm trying to hold out until my baby showers because I want to buy the things I don't receive. I really hope this kid makes it to 37 weeks at least because it will take me that long to get everything done I'm sure!!!
