3D scan, Chocolate and fizzy drink

Hello

I am going for my 3D scan on Saturday and they have said take a long a bar of chocolate and a fizzy drink. What's the best fizzy drink to take, something like lucozade or just anything fizzy even if diet?

Thank you
xxx

I'd prob take something with a load of sugar in it hun, I'd say thast its in case bubs decides to be shy and they want to wake them up to get a better picture.

Enjoy your scan!!

I think it just needs to be packed with sugar, which most fizzy drinks are!!

I drank lucozade before my 20w scan, but LO wouldn't budge!!! I had another scan at 23 weeks and drank coke, he was moving around like mad!!

I just think it needs to be full of sugar!!

I was thankful i didnt drink anything like this because the lady said that sometimes it makes baby too hyper and they cant get good pictures. I would say have a bit of pop should be fine if needed. My guy had his feet in his face most of mine but i got an amazing video and pictures just had to shake him a bit haha

Hiya ,

Im with Lexy604! Every morning baby gets really active when i drink fresh orange so had a big carton before scan and we couldnt get any pics cos baby wouldnt stay still and the pics were all blurred

If you are looking for something to get baby moving though you will probably have noticed something yourself which baby always moves around after you have drank/eaten. Failing that sugary drinks will do the job but fruit juices have just as much sugar as fizzy drinks like cola and are much better for you and baby.

Good luck xx

Whatever you've noticed gets bubs moving. Having it as cold as possible might also help, as the change in temperature can get them moving.

I had a 3d scan a couple of weeks ago and jelly beans, grapes (on the way) proper coffee and flapjack (15 minutes in) wouldn't convince him to play. Having to go back this week, hopefully he'll be more playful this time!
