Temper Tantrums and Anger Management

Does anyone else have issues with controlling their temper during pregnancy? I'm not eating, not sleeping, and just super stressed out, and then I instigate with my husband ALL the time. It's at the point where I am truly worried about our marriage because he will not tolerate my fits at all, and I know it, yet I still cannot help myself. He somehow knows EXACTLY how to push my buttons. Is it me, hormones? I don't know what to do...I've spent the day screaming, crying, throwing things, and then cycling through again...is this normal or just me?

so sorry to hear your going through a rough time
i had trouble controlling my stress levels before i was pregnant, but tried my best to keep them at bay, which worked, but it just seems like they've turned into anger issues now.
i moan at my OH constantly and feel so bad, but im so stubborn i won't apologise. poor guy.

i got so stressed this evening i got tummy aches and had to sit and calm down.

so to your questions...
i think it's hormones, as much as i hate to admit it.
and yes i think its normal to go through a patch, probably worth speaking to someone impartial? on the fence. i speak to my mum and it helps xxxx

Er, I am terrible. Of course, I swear OH asks for it half the time! I feel like he is always nagging me, haha. That is what I tell him. "Your like a woman! Always nagging!"

And I hate it when he talks to me like a child. Ugh. Even if I am acting like one .. DO NOT talk to me like I am!! Ugh.

Here lately its been pretty bad. I mean, I have been crying/pouting over everything.

I'm bipolar so yeah, I have issues. But I'm also on medication for it so I suppose it's not as bad as it could be. However, it's not as good as it could be, either. I lowered my dosage when I got pregnant because the side effects were getting to me and then I find out that the pregnancy hormones inhibit the medication I'm on so not only am I running a lower dose, I'm running a less-effective dose. I have my cycles and thank the Gods I have a saint of a husband. He knows that none of it is intentional and that none of it is his fault. And as soon as I realize I'm taking my frustrations out on him, I immediately stop and apologize. After all, I'm the one that's screwed up, not him.

I think really, all you can do is when you realize you're acting irrational just stop and take a few deep breaths. Walk away from whatever is aggravating you and go back to it later. And talking definitely helps. No matter who you talk to. Even if you privately write it all down and don't share it with anyone, that's better than keeping everything bottled in.
