Spotting

Had to go to hospital today to get baby checked out because at about 2am thismorning I noticed about a teaspoon's-full of bloody down the toilet and when I wiped.....

They monitored the baby for about half an hour, and did an internal examination. They couldn't see anything wrong and said that as long as it doesn't happen again it's probably nothing to worry about

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this kind of one-off spotting and how normal it is? They also said they couldn't see my cervix... anyone know what that means? :S

It was a bit annoying having to go all the way to the hospital, but it was worth it to know that the baby is definately okay. Plus, on the way out we managed to catch this funky video of an air ambulance landing in the helipad lol

I don't really know how common it is but have heard of one off bleeds happening late on. I'm sure someone else will know more.

Did they give you a scan too to have a look at baby and the placenta?

I once got lost at a hospital, walked across this grassy area and was wondering why there were signs everywhere saying no access. Then I looked down to see a big H and another sign close by saying helicopter landing pad. lol.

I know sometimes you bleed if your cervix is irritated or if you've had sex anytime recent. As for not seeing your cervix it must have been super high ... mine does that and DR finds it tricky when checking me. Hopefully someone might have a good explanation but I know we can have random bleeding from time to time and they never find a reason. Glad everything is ok
