Geting a sweep before 40 weeks?
Ive been a wee busy bee and done my research and the chances are much less of having to have an induction if you've had a sweep or two. And I really would love to avoid induction without going too far over.
So ive got my scan and usual check tomorrow. I see a midwife then my own consultant too. She likes to check my notes see how me n baby are doing after transfusion n stuff. Last time she said "well all looks well and we'll see you next week, examine you and stuff if you let us"
What do you think my chances are if I ask for a sweep and im all clued up with facts and stuff about why I want it? lol
I'll be 39+4 and ive not moaned yet to them!

Next time i'll be able to see them again I'll be 40+4 and I dont wanna just have one failed sweep then induction.

They wont usually give you a sweep until your 40 or over. They wont usually induce if there is no reason until you are 42 weeks as that is the top end of human gestation. your pregnancy is between 38-42 weeks the due date is smack in the middle as something to aim for.

It sucks i know! I was left till 42+1 with my son and he was measuring large to begin with

Ask though and be adamant if you want one and you know what your doing

Yeah

I am at home resting back in to start again tomorrow after contracting since wed :'( still going now so hopefully ill get my waters broken as this is just fucking miserable!
