Can you tell when baby starts to engage?

Can you tell when baby starts to engage?

I know i am way too early for this yet but i having been feeling quite strange feelings in my pelvism, i suffer from SPD anyway but this feel different. baby seems to be head down and feet up (back to back) anyway and pains feel different at different times, plus getting a lot of period type pains and very strong braxton hicks (to tyhe point they are really uncomfortable).

I am assuming that its just my body preparing, and baby moving position etc.

Oh yeah and bump seems to have dropped lol

Seeing midwife on thusrday and i really and not overally worried but just read anpther thread of simular pains and they said could be start of something.

Anyway my main question is can you feel when baby starts to engage?

I think if it is your first baby it could be engaging now. I'm not sure when my LO started to engaged but was 2/5ths at 34 week check so could have been same stage as you. 2 days overdue now though.................

I could tell when amber had engaged, felt like i was walking with a big melon inbetween my legs, thats when i started to really waddle, not walk. I had a constant bruised feeling in my lady bits (Iv got spd to, i certaintly dont have that feeling atm) Also my pelvis would click/crack loads, but it does that atm. My baby is on the brim.
