I'm Currently Feeling: | does back pain = bladder infection??? hi, well yesterday went on a trip to see my brother and sister in law, we got about 20mins away and i started to need the toilet( wee wee) obviously i couldnt go straight away. after about 5 mins i started to get pains in my lower belly and my lower back they were like really strong i wanted to cry i couldnt sit still and was it was like i was trying to escape the pain. the pains were also regular like every 4 mins, when we got to our destination i went to the loo and it wasnt painful, and i felt much better the pains were still there but no where near as strong as before. then later i needed loo again and got the same intense pain in my back again. do you think i could of got a bladder infection????? i have the mid wife on monday so im going to tell her about it. but just wondered if anyone else had the same. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | yeah i had this when i had that bug that was making me sick. when i told the nurse on NHS direct of my symptoms she suggested possible water infection. But then i didnt feel the need to go more often than normal or experienced any pain or burning when i went so i left it, and it eased with my bug symptoms and didnt bother me the next day.
dont know if that helps in any way |

I'm Currently Feeling: | It could be a kidney or bladder infection... but there are a whole other host of things that could also explain it (normal pregnancy discomfort being one of them!) Definately mention it to the midwife, who should be taking a pee sample to check for bladder infections anyway, and see what she makes of it. Be sure to stress how severe the pain is.
Best of luck, hun. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had a bladder infection before I got pregnant, and the pain you are describing sounds a lot like what it felt like. Talk to your doctor. Like everyone else said, they will most likely do a urine test to make sure everything is alright. Good luck! |

| It could possibly be a bladder infection. It is important that you empty your bladder and drink lots of water. It will most of the time detour braxton hicks contractions. But you definitely need a urinalysis done. You could call your healthcare provider and tell her you suspect you might have a UTI and would like to come in to pee in a cup, then if you do they can call you something in so you can start taking care of the infection. |
