Im still recovering from this flipping cold! Damn my crappy immune system and inability to take any medicine!
Anyone got any advice on how to clear a stuffy nose? Its driving me crazy =[ i cant breaattthhheeeeeeeee

Awwww so sorry your not feeling well.

I've got a stupid cold at the moment & I feel like rubbish!

The only way I've been able to breathe is to lie on 1 side in bed & whichever side faces the ceiling unblocks in about 5 minutes!!

I'm in bed all day anyway so it's helping me. Not too practical if you have things to do!

Have you been taking paracetamol?

Can you take a nice warm shower as that clears my nose up while I'm in the shower and just blow your nose as much as possible. Then when you get out rub vapor and put it under your nose and chest and I recommend sucking on a Halls cough drop that helps a bit. Hope u feel better soon.

I only just recovered from a reeeally bad cold / fluey thing which lasted 2 weeks and I had a blocked nose with it... I sympathise with you I found having a nice warm bath or shower helped because of the steam... unfortunately after about 10 mins of getting out it blocks back up again... you just have to sit it out (unfortnately). And like someone else said, lying in bed unblocks one side aswell, so when I was sitting on the sofa I'd kind of lean my head right over to one side...lol...looks a little weird but it does help. The whole of 3rd tri seems to be sick at the mo

paracetamol, water and vicks is the only thing helping me this weekend...

mmm i seem to be immune to paracetemol, has no effect at all so i gave up
sent my OH out for vicks tho lol

i feel awful 2! Horrid cough and sore throat thats just not budging..ive just been having loads of hot drinks to sooth throat..cant say its working at the mo though.
Wouldnt mind only its so close to my due date..so i need to get rid of this quick.

The paracetamol seems to work ok for me. OH is really worried that I could be hurting the baby despite me telling him over and over that its the ONLY safe thing I can take... :/

Had a horrible incident last night. Had OH's sister and friend over to watch xfactor. OH was supposed to walk the dog and make lasagne since I'm in no state to do either. He then did absolutely nothing and disappeared up to his studio, leaving me with his sister and her friend. I started to get a bit sicker as the night wore on but felt bad about asking them to leave :/

Note then that I didn't even get any dinner - had to have cheese on toast...

By the time they left at 11ish, my temperature was through the roof, my head was aching and my nose and teeth were in agony.

I started to clear up the dishes and take the washing out of the maachine and OH wonders back downstairs and tells me to put my feet up - wtf?! - I'll put my feet up when I know that things are done in the house.

By the time I got to bed, I think I was a little delirious. I was so hot and couldn't settle. Think OH realised what a prick he had been...but it was too late. Am still raging. He doesn't do enough when I'm well, but to not even help out more when I'm really sick is just not on
