Woman falls pregnant when already pregnant - Page 2

I remember reading a thread in pregnancy club section when i was WTT, someone had posted a girl for another forums ticker saying she was X amount pregnant & also X amount pregnant with another. Its weird.

i read a magazine at the start of the year, a woman thought she was having twins and one was significantly smaller than the other, but then when they were born they realised that they were 8 weeks apart in development and not actually twins at all!

quite freaky really! at my scans i kept asking - there is only one, isn't there?? lol

oohh weird - mine are exactly the same size so no chance of that lol.

It has occured to me that they may be born in different years though - average delviery for twins is 34 weeks which for me is 3rd Jan so if they are born 33+4 - who knows hehehe

that is mad!! As is the 2 uterus thing, there was an english woman a few years ago had twins in one uterus and a single baby in the other........ Amazing.

Did you ever see a programme on a while back about these women and they were basically 2 people? they were twins at conception but the cells merged and they had some eggs which were not theirs but their twin's which meant that they gave birth to babies which were not biologically theirs but their nieces or nephews?? It was really weird. the cases in the documentary were found coz one woman had a paternity test done to claim CB (in the US) and the other needed a kidney donation so her grown up sons were tested and for both these women it was found that their kids weren't theirs so to speak. The documentary ended saying that this could be much more common than anyone knows as it would take exceptional circumstances to find out.

I find all of these things soooo interesting!!
