Raspberry Leaf Tea

Me and my mum are both true sceptics to most herbal remedies etc and have been having a long conversation about whether this is actually effective and all the stuff iv been reading about shorter labours, less chance of tearing etc is true or just another old wives tale.
So what do you think, peoples experiences? Do you think it works?
Also if you think its worth it, where can you get it?
Cheers x

Few days back

Raspberry Leaf Tea.

Personally i loved it. Its nice to believe it had some affect on my pushing stage.
It didnt shorten my labour, but to be fair, not really read it always does that. Tones uterus for pushing.
I was only pushing 10mins. I did tear BUT only because lil miss had her hand on her ear, otherwise would been perfectly fine.

I bought mine from asda

I drank it with my 1st from 30wks & i don't think it helped, but i was induced & had spd so it wasn't exactly going to go smoothly anyway lol my uterus went back very quickly after the birth though

I'm drinking it again this time as its a nice drink, i'm not a brew person but this with sugar is nice

i bought mine from holland & barretts £1.29 box of 20

I went to NCT and we talked about things that help labourf and the NCT leader said the tea had been proved to shorten labour by up to 45 mins.

She also said that the only thing that has been proven to set off labour is sexual activity due to the endorphins and specifically nippled stimulation was supposed to be a sure fire way...but apparently you have to do it for a while!!
