hi everyone, i'm new here just came accross the website on google and thought i wud give it a try. i'm 30+4 days pregnant with my first baby ( blue bump) due 10th april.
just wondering if i could ask for a bit of advice really bubs is head down and has been for bout 3 weeks now and as each day passes it gets more and more uncomfortable and painful to the point where i am barely sleeping at all, sometimes the pains shoot right down in2 my bits aswell, i have also had a few nose bleeds over the past 2 days and keep feeling dizzy. thanks in advance for any advice

read up on preeclampsia dont know if there signs of it but im sure i read somewhere that nose bleeds are a sign of it. x

I know dizziness is a sign but I didn't think nose bleeds were, anyway welcome to bnb, congrats on your blue bump and i'd see your gp or mw if your worried hun

These are pre-eclampsia signs, just to put your mind at rest:

None
Hypertension
Swelling or Edema
Protein in your urine
Sudden Weight Gain
Headache
Nausea or Vomiting
Changes in Vision
Racing pulse, mental confusion, heightened anxiety, trouble catching your breath
Stomach or Right Shoulder Pain
Lower back pain
Hyperreflexia


Nosebleeds do tend to occur more often during pregnancy. Pregnancy can cause the blood vessels in your nose to expand, and your increased blood supply puts more pressure on those delicate vessels, causing them to rupture more easily. Although it's unpleasant and inconvenient, an occasional minor nosebleed is generally harmless.

Drink extra fluid to keep your mucus membranes hydrated.


Dizziness is also common, but if it is persistent you should contact your GP or MW as it could be low blood pressure or aneamia just to mention a couple of things. x
