We actually bought the travel system second hand off a friend- so if we get another one it won't be the end of the world.

But I have Four choices -

1: Find a Pram that fits in a KA

2: Drive hubbys big car- and he drive mine - (I don't like big cars)

3: Manage with the KA, by putting the back seats down. Not great but saves money.

4: Sell my car and get something else.....

I have a ford KA and have got the bebe streety pram with the maxi cosi car seat. The pram base and the carry cot part of the pram both fit in the boot and I have room for a few shopping bags. The car seat fits in the back but you have to pull the front seat all the way forward but my OH still found he could fit and he's almost 6ft. The car seat just fits through the door into the back seat and once you use to pulling the seat belt around it it's o.k. (i've had mine a week and have borrowed my niece a few times to practice putting it in, also think it will be easier without a bump getting in the way)

I found there were only this pram and the bugaboo Bee that fit in mine. With the bee there was loads of room left but my OH didn't like the design of the pram.

It is the new shape KA though which is a tad bigger than the old shape but there's not a huge difference.

All I know is that mamas and papas pliko pramettes do not fit in KA's! My friend had this pram for her LO, and my other friend has a ford KA (and is the only one that can drive). Was an absolute nightmare! Had to go on the back seat between passengers, no chance of getting it in the boot xx

Ok well I decided that I am just going to have to get used to driving hubbys car. After going out looking at new cars today and nearly talking ourselves into getting one, we decided that really we couldn't justify buying a car and that we would just see how we managed with what we had.

But I have bought this stroller which is suitable from birth and lies completely flat.

http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us...-Zebra(0018915)

Its light weight and fits just about in the boot of the KA, so will be an alternative option if I have to use the KA. And its alot lighter than the other pram we have so will probably use it more when baby gets bigger.

I also after going to about 3 shops and scouring the internet have ordered the maxi cosi car seat and isofix base - we decided if the Senic was going to be the main car we were using for the baby we wanted to make use of the isofix seats as it makes things so much easier. Rather than using the second hand Graco one we had - we will just keep this as a back up. The maxi cosi seat and base seem to be sold out nearly everywhere though. I have managed to find them - on separate websites so I hoping they won't email me and tell me they are sold out.

So although we have spend a bit more money eek! still cheaper than a new car.....

Yes it is cute looking

I did really like the Quinny Buzz - it had been the first one I wanted before we got our other travel system from a friend, but I just couldn't justify spending about £500 - buy the time you had bought all the bits. (about £650 if we got the ISOfix base and footmuff too). we will manage with what we have and spend the money we saved on other thing for baby instead.
