I have been down with a cold and cough twice during my second tri, and was on medication for a week each time, (DS was passing the bug around).

This time, DS had me with the bug again, and I am down once again, bad runny nose and losing my voice once more ...I don't know what to do, I have to be on medication again, of course, prescribed by my doc, which supposed to be safe during pregnancy.

I googled and they say it is not very safe to be on medication during the later stage of your pregnancy...i'm really not sure if i should take the med, but it is not wise for me to be in agony and not taking med right? I hope i get well soon....

I'm sorry you are feeling poorly. I doubt I'd take anything without consulting your MW or doctor. Hope you feel better soon

A Doctor will NOT prescribe anything that will cause baby harm......the Doctor will weigh up the pros and cons of any medication to you and baby before prescribing it.
