measuring 41 weeks now :-S geesooooo

Was at the midwife today and apparently i am now measuring 41 weeks!! As soon as she put her hands on to feel the baby she could tell he was a 'full term baby' as in size.

She wants me back next week to see how big he has got and then i have to see the consultant 28th September, for what i don't know.

I am struggling so much with just walking, i have real pressure down below and have been having lots of back spasms almost daily. She did say to me that i could very well labour anytime and to watch out for this and phone hospital straight away.

part of me just wishes they could say, come on in, you can have the c section today, but obviously not possible.

does anyone have any stories about big babies, IE measuring 6 weeks bigger than what they were?
Has anyone ever been taken early because of a massive baby?
and finally if you were told your baby was big like mine IE 5+ weeks what was the weight and length of your baby?

Just curious as to what the consultant will do, as last time i was told not to bother going back to hosp until the pre-op assessment ( i have a section planned for 38.5 weeks) worrying now there could be something wrong, and of course daft me is listening to what family members are saying... IE big baby's ain't always a good thing!!!! i feel like screaming as all people are going on about is how massive i am and joking about when he is born that he will want a dinner not a bottle, daft things like this are not helping me right now

I had my son at 36 weeks (due oct 8th born on sept 8th) due to low amniotic fluid and he was 7lbs 4oz and 22 inches and in perfect health only thing is he had Jaundice pretty bad but that went away in a couple of days and he got to come home within 4-5 days after delivery and he was treated as a full term baby.

My first baby was 91b 1oz and 61cm long. They warned me she was big but the labour was fine.
I am small in height and build but I think big babies push them selves out.
The only problem is the discomfort towards the end of the pregnancy but it's worth it as big babies sleep and feed better.
My little angel slept and fed well from day one with no colic due to her healthy weight.
I am now carrying my second which is a boy and I have been warned that he is a lot bigger than my first but i'm not at all worried as big babies are great to handle and easier to deliver and usually have fewer health problems.
I have been ofered early induction but have refused as I believe nature will do it's job.
