vitamin K - oral or injection?

Just wondered what people's plans are for giving their babies vitamin k? I've been reading up online and am erring towards requesting the oral dose rather than the injection, but am not really sure. What are you all going to request?

I believe that the injection has been shown to be perfectly safe. However, we are going with the oral drops unless baby has a particuarly traumatic time during the birth.

We're not doing it at all. Drops aint really an option in the USA for some reason.
I intend on breast feeding. This is an inter muscular injection and I don't want her in pain and upset when we're trying to establish that first feed. I know the needle aint much to us grown adults, but this is a baby with uber sensitive skin and a brand new nervous system.
We spoke in depth with the pediatrician about this and she said it's more important for the boys who are being circumcised straight after birth, to have it.

Where would you find out ~ or is it something you would just stipulate in the birth plan?

My birth plan currently says that I want to give my LO oral vit K. The injection just seems unnecessarily full-on to me.

I'm going with the injection, it will be over and done with in one go rather than having to be administered a few times. Also was told by MW that injection was more effective.

I think that baby will have been through enough being born that having a little injection will not phase her too much.
