Over weight mum = big baby? - Page 2

Well, Ive been overweight with all my babies, all were born below 7 lbs in weight and my first was only 5lb 13 oz, however when Holly was born she weighed 8lb 14 oz so there is no pattern in my opinion, Im the same size as I have always been.

I am very overweight and Jack was 8lbs 4oz 3 weeks early! And Rosie was 9lbs 2oz 4 days late. Dont think it really effects how big your baby is going to be, big women can have big or small babies. x

My midwife today at my 32 week check up told me that my baby WILL be big and I WILL get gestational diabetes. Also my last baby who was 8lb was big (I wasn't overwight then!)
I believe it all to be a load of twaddle and she was only telling me all this because they are trying to talk me out of a home birth.

i was overweight last time and had a baby 7lb 14oz. this time around just the same however at the moment 33 weeks he is said to weigh 7lb 3oz! It is a boy this time around so i dont know if this makes any difference, i dont feel i have ate that much differently from last time around!

I was overweight and put on 3 stone whilst pregnant and my baby was 5lbs 11oz.

I was told at a growth scan at 32 weeks that he was already 6lbs, just shows how wrong they can be.
