Low amniotic fluid

Hi all I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone had or has low amniotic fluid in their pregnancy?

I have to go back to the hospital on Wednesday to see a consultant after being told I have low amniotic fluid and my baby is measuring small for his dates.

I found this out after having to be re scanned due to the sonographer picking up at my 20 week scan that my baby's kidneys where measuring slightly larger than they should. However I have been told they are OK and I have had a doppler which was fine.

I am 29 weeks pregnant and worried what is likely to happen.

Thanks

I had low fluids almost my whole pregnancy up until my last scan which was 2 weeks ago.

There really wasn't a reason for mine, or at least they never gave me one. I was told to drink A LOT of water and to rest as much as I could..... which ended up meaning sitting on my butt for most of the day

Although Rylee developed just fine, so I dont know what could be causing your LOs kidney issues. I'm sure he will be just fine though.

My doctor told me to drink a gallon of water a day (just don't make yourself sick), little to none soda and rest rest rest! My fluids came up slowly but they did come up, so try some of that and see what happens.

Are you working? If so now might be a good time to work smaller shifts and/or work less days and get that rest in cause it really helped me.

Hi, I am going through a similar thing at the moment. Went for scan on Thursday and sonographer stated fluid was low and referred me to a consultant who I am seeing on Monday. Been trying to drink more since finiding out in the hope that works. Scared at the moment because this is my first baby and I am 23 weeks. They did say they saw the kidneys and bladder.

My thoughts are with you at the moment.
