Are you ready?

We still have a ton of stuff to buy . It felt like we had a lot of time left but after my appointment yesterday and hitting 30 weeks today it doesn't seem like a very long time.

So far all we have is the:
Crib
Carseat/stroller
Baby bath
clothes

Still need:
Bouncer
Basinette
swing
Baby needs: Diapers,bottles,diaper bag,creams
Breastpump

I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of stuff too!
How is everyone doing on their baby shopping?

I'm so lost about baby things right now... it really does my head in lol. So far we're pretty set on the big stuff but we need to focus on all those little things needed.

We've got:
Crib
Change Table
Bookshelf
Bassinet
Swings
Bouncers
High Chair
Clothes, clothes, clothes
Bath

Need:
Car Seat and Stroller
Diapers
Breast Pump and bottles
Creams, washes, oils etc for baby (we have some, but only a few bottles)
Diaper bag
Toys and whatnot

I never ever ever really realized how much we need to buy before baby's arrival. I'm in for a big reality check.

I'm trying to feel as ready as I can....... somehow I'm convinced that if I feel ready for the birth then it won't be all that bad! lol

My mother-in-law has already got us most of our stuff because a) she had a baby just 2 years ago so her little'un has handily just outgrown it's cot and buggy and moses basket and changing unit and stuff like that and b) she's hyped about being a 'nonna' and has bought us sleep suits and baby gros and stuff >.<

So, all we're left needing to buy is... a house. To put all this stuff in. And I could also do with a breast pump, and bottles, and a few first stage disposable nappies..... aaaaaaaand.... gees you know there's still probs loads of stuff we need to get... I better get started on writing a list!

I'm right there with you on that one... Seems you can buy countless stuff (or have countless stuff bought for you) and then you start to list what you still need... and you're still no where near ready!!

Ooh good luck with that! I bet you're really excited and nervous now! Do you mind if I ask why you're getting induced?...

I'm with you on needing a kitchen... and a house, too would be good! Hubby and I are staying in a b&b at the moment looking for a place to settle down in..... wish us luck!

I had a big baby last time and there was shoulder dystotia when i delivered (shoulders got well and truly stuck) I went 15 days over to. I also have SPD and can barely move

Baby doesn't look as big this time but is over 7lb already, they don't want me to go over. I was told to ring after 38 weeks if i couldn't stand it anymore and they would book me in but i want my kitchen in first! or i wont feel ready lol

Oh and im crapping myself labour was no fun last time and recovery was super crappy! so scared but cant wait to meet her!!

I am sooo not ready. I got the bassinet, and some clothes and diapers, but that is it Hopefully he doesn't decide to come out any time soon. I'm still waiting on the babyshower to get most of what I need.

Ouch - all sounds so scary... I'm finding the anticipation of a 'normal' birth scary enough!

You know it'll all be worth it once you get to hold her and love her and show her off! I'll be thinking of you on your induction date - keep us posted of how it goes!

We haven't bought anything because OH's family is supposed to have a baby shower. Its only one/two weeks before our due date, so you can imagine how much I am freaking out! I am depending on getting everything then (because thats what they said and because they have waited until then to do it) because OH and I wont have time after that to save money and get everything we need.
