Started contracting last night.....updated... I have started again

So after my sweep on Thurs when the midwife said I was 3cm and thinning, yesterday the pains started, by teatime they were every 6 minutes and intensifying, every 5 minutes by 7pm, and by 8pm 3minutes and becoming quite painful, definately not braxton hicks, (I already have 2 kids).

So, we arrange for my kids to be picked up and go up to hospital to get checked out and see if I am progressing.

Hmmm, seems I am only 2cm and cervix although stretchy is quite thick. Decided to come home where comfy and let things progress here.

Contractions continued bang on 3 minutes and quite intense so at midnight had a clary sage bath, then guess what, they started to ease off, arghhh, then eventually stopped at about 1.30am.

Today, I have walked about in the wind and rain, been bouncing on ball, taken evening primrose oil and rlt capsules, cleaned house from top to bottom, I am getting the odd twinge but nothing like last night.

I am gutted, OH isn't at all keen on idea of sex due to my motives not being romantic, what can I do?

I need to get going again, any help muchhh appreciated.

Oh yes and my sisters and Mum are constantly ringing asking whats happening, I know they are excited, but its doing my head innnnn.

Unplug the phone!!! But keep the wires handy so you can plug it in when you need it, not when someone else needs to hear you!

I've just started reading about hypnobirthing, and one thing that struck me was how they say when you're having a pee, if someone walks in, you'd physically stop (sphincter law), as you can't do it when you're being observed really (primal thing), so having them phoning isn't going to help I'm sure! I also read that labour can be slowed/stopped altogether if you don't feel safe/warm/private etc., as observed in mammals who will generally give birth under a tree, in private, at night when they're warm.... makes a lot of sense... we're mammals, but our brains take over our bodies too often...

Ok so now I have started again, they are coming regular every 10 minutes, quite a lot of downward pressure with each one, and strong enough to stop me in my tracks but not quite strong enough I need to breathe through them!!

Please, please let them get more painful lolol
