confused by tax credit system

Hi,

Is anyone else really confused by the tax credit system? I have no idea of how much I will be getting when the baby is here, and I dont really know who to contact to find out.

Do they go through this with you at the hospital?

Thanks

no, to be truthefull the helpline is usually the best place, but i dont think you can get a real figure until after the baby is born, also when they ask you your earnings im pretty sure that MA counts as a benefit, so it does not count as income.
