First appointment with an OBGYN

What should I expect.
I will be 30 weeks when I go. I was under my GP so far.

I think probably the same things that were checked before will be checked again. I think at 34 or 35 weeks you start getting internals and you get tested for Strep B. Not completely sure though, I never made it that far . But I remember my last appointment at 30ish weeks it was the same as my other appointments and was told that at my next one I would be tested for Strep B.

Hope your appointment goes well

Hmm... I've been seeing an OB all along. I think they only do internals to check for dilation. Usually they only use internal u/s for very early in pregnancy right? Hope everything goes well. I have an appt with a new OB on Monday... It's kinda strange switching Drs this late huh? For me it does at least.

That's how it works here in Ontario Canada for some bizarre reason.
Since my GP doesn't do deliveries any more, I have to go under a new doctor.
This new lady has a HORRIBLE reputation, but unfortunately all other OBs in town are pretty much booked up until May. Well, that kinda doesn't work for me.

Just the normal, check your measurements to make sure your measuring for your week, weight, blood pressure, urine sample, babys HB. Thats all my OB did.
I still haven't gotten internal exams. I dont think you start getting them until the ninth month (36+ weeks). I have my next appointment at 34 weeks though, so we will see.
