I've been having pains since last night and will get a few within a matter of 2 hours then it stops and I get none for ages, could this be the start of labour? I spoke to delivery and they said it could be contractions but as i'm passed 37weeks they wouldn't try to delay the birth, would their be any risk to my baby if born around now?

They sound like contractions to me, eventually they might actually start to regulate and get stronger. You could also get those for days and sometimes they completely stop so labor might not be immenent. But if the baby was born right now then I'm sure he/she would be just fine. You're considered full term as soon as you hit 37 weeks I hope this is it for you!

hope u have ur LO soon, i had pains last night but then they stopped, im sure ur baby would be fine born now though ur nearly 38 weeks so it would be normal i think xxx

Yes still getting them but they stop after a while, seeing my consultant at 4pm so hopefully something will be done
