When did you write your birth plans and what sort of things did you include? Haven't had the chat with the MW yet but was just slightly curious as to when i need to think about this
I won't be making a birth plan. I never got to with Drake and thats mainly the reason why I won't be doing it this time. Most of the time things don't go as planned
-who I would like in the labour/birth room with me
-if I want the lights dimmed
-if I would like to be able to eat/drink during labour
-if I would like to be mobile during labour
-what kind of pain relief if any I would like and in what order they should be offered
-whether or not I'd like my OH to cut the cord
-whether or not I'd like to be induced to deliver the placenta or let it happen naturally

also got explained things like what ventouse and forceps were and why they use them, ditto episiotomy, and how to be aware of the signs of going or being in early labour ie backache, cramps, diarhhea etc..
I said
*Who I wanted with me
*That I wanted to walk around/do whatever I wanted
*That I wanted the injection in my leg to hurry the placenta
*Which pain relief I wanted OR didn't want unless completely necessary
*To have the baby on my tummy then checked over quickly and given back
*To leave hospital as soon as possible
*Who I wanted to cut the cord
I forget the other things, but if you search in Google for "birth plan", "birth plan examples" or similar im sure a lot of good results will come up. As said, things ARE likely to change but it's great to have one as you don't always want to be speaking when you're in pain.
