my friend gave hypno birthing a go with her second. and she said it gave her a really positive outlook. her birth went fine despite the baby being back to back and the midwife wrote in the notes 'the baby was breathed out'. i'm going to look into for next time...worth a shot!

I think the worst thing you can do is be afraid. Supposedly if you are scared during labor you get "white uterus" because your blood is going everywhere else (fight or flight), and that's not going to help out with labor pains.

I'd like to labor or give birth in water. Supposedly, that helps.

There's some kind of hypnotherapy they have for pregnant women. Maybe if I get some $$$ I'll try that.

Yep, I'm also on crutches and wear a pelvic support belt, Its gotton to the stage where I need help to do the simplest tasks, such as getting in and out of the bath, walking up the stairs and even getting up from the chair, its awful hey! My physio hasn't helped me much and as my OH works 5days a week and sometimes 24hour shifts I have to do things myself and its affecting everything

oh hun, thats horrific, sorry your in so much pain, it isnt funny is it. do u get frustrated having to rely on ppl, i do and it makes me snap at everyone, i not having fun anymore and want miss fidget midget out so i can feel "normal" again. aparently the physio told me that wearing silk pj's to bed help when you have to turn over or get up coz the silk helps you slide and you put less pressure on you hips and legs, i nearly asked if millets did silk pj's i cant get into a silk king size quilt my ass has expanded that much yet alone a pair of pj's!!!!!! she said to take paracetamol too but am reluctant to take medication coz of jr have they told you about positions for giving birth in that doesnt aggrivate it??

lol.. yeah it is a nightmare but not much I can do about it, even though my hubby doesn't moan I know it frustrates him when I have to get him to help me so much, My physio told me either leaning on pillows or lying on your side is the easiest position to give birth in as it takes the weight off your pelvis, and as I said to them the only thing that will take the weight off is to have the baby

yup 100% agree with you there, nothing is going to get rid of the heartburn, pelvic pain, back ache, tantrums and appetite like the entire population of the world than having my baby...sigh... my physio also told me that sitting on a hot water bottle can ease it but really dont fancy my bits getting heatstroke ) lol.. how long you got left? as of today (sun early hrs) i am 37 + 1 and all can hear in my head is the music to countdown its getting that close haha
