Double vision...what the heck???

I was just laying on the couch watching T.V. and suddenly my vision was doubled. Everything was blurry, everything was doubled, and it was so bad I had to hold onto the walls because I was trying to make it to the bathroom. My eyes felt as if they were crossed although I wasn't crossing them (which is why I was going to the bathroom, to see if they were crossed) but when I looked in the mirror (I had to look super close) my eyes weren't crossed.

The double vision lasted about 2 minutes but it scared the hell out of me. This surely can't be normal.....can it? I'm like freaking out!

I believe you can get this from pre-eclampsia and it would be linked to your blood pressure. You shoud certainly call your OB and let them know and see what they say to do!

Try to stay calm...hope you are ok...

like djgirl said, get your OB to check your blood pressure. Mine warned me that blurry vision and headaches (forehead and sides of head type of headaches) are signs of high blood pressure and to call if I have those symptoms. Good luck

I might be wrong but i think high blood sugar (ie gestational diabetes) can also cause blurred vision as well as high blood pressure? i would get it checked out. It could however be just another one of those weird and wonderful pregnancy problems.

any changes in vision (blurry, double, seeing stars) is a sign of pre eclampsia bc of high BP - call ur OB as soon as u can. they'll probably have u come in the AM for a BP check. Good luck honey - let us know!!
