Had to get the second, three hour glucose test? My doctor called this morning and said my results from the one hour I took on friday were elevated so I have to come in tomorrow morning for the three hour. If you had to take the second test, what were the results?? I think i've heard it's fairly common to have elevated results on the first one but i'm not sure. I'm not too worried, but I think the biggest thing that bothers me is not being able to eat for 12 hours before I go!!

i had the first test and that was enough for me even if they told me i had to go back for the second i think i would have refused, the woman poured me a cup full of that horrid stuff and i just about finished it without vomiting and then she poured the rest of the bottle in, i nearly fell off my chair! lol x

Lol yeah that stuff is terrible, I read somewhere that they're doing tests to see if you can just eat jellybeans of the stuff instead of drinking it, too bad they don't have that now!! Well I went yesterday, she had to take my blood 4 times, once before the test, and then every hour after, my arms are bruised! My doctor called me this morning and said I had abnormal results and that I have gestational diabetes, so now I have to monitor my blood sugar levels 2 hours after I eat a meal, fun, more needles!!

Gosh you poor thing....are you not monitoring the level before you eat also?
especially in the morning first thing??...x
