36 week appointment

What tends to happen at this one?, I know its to do the birthplan etc but what else will be done? Can you actually asked to be induced? I don't think I can take this pain much more, I feel like my pelvis is coming apart and I can barely walk.

MW is coming to my house this time as she said you don't get long at the surgery, only 15 mins and a couple of people told me that you can be induced which I wish I could as its really painful, my SPD is that bad that I have crutches and a pelvic support belt which are doing bugger all xx

No harm in asking.

When my MW came at 36 she just talked through the back page of my notes but the antenatel class had explained it all so she just ticked all the boxes and then did normal checks. Pretty pointless really but my MW is a waste of space lol.

MW sent me to consultant @ around 35 weeks as I had chronic SPD was on crutches by 25 weeks.

My consultant reviewed at 37 weeks when he checked to see if i was favourable for induction and i was so he did a sweep and booked me in for induction the following day.

I have every sympathy for you , I was in agony.

Hope your MW is sympathetic, mine wasn't brillant.

hope lo arrives soon/ you get induced.

Thanks hon, SPD is horrible, I see a physio and a consultant, and can't even climb the stairs or get in and out of the bath without help

Its to do with your pelvis hun, sometimes the pelvis joints seperate to much causing pain, it tends to disappear after the birth but can carry on for longer, pain can be caused by walking, getting in and out of cars, climbing in the bath and even moving in bed can be painful
