Toothache - help!!

Hi all.

I am suffering real bad now with toothache!! I have an extreme fear of the dentist though, i end up having panic attackls getting to the dentists door and i dont know what to do. Havent slept properly in two nights jus keep coming out in cold sweats thinking of dentist. Even if i do usually go dentist i get put under in special clinics because im so bad but i doubt they'd do that now as im pregnant. WHAT the hell can i do?! I've had paracetamoll, oral gel, filled the tooth temporarily.... im going insane!!

I would say, really try and go if you can. Chances are the toothache isn't going to go away by itself, and it really is the last thing you want when giving birth or with a newborn. You will be in enough pain without toothache as well.
I don't have an extreme fear of the dentists, but I do absolutely hate it.
I just always remember one time after my dd was born I spent a sleepless weekend with severe toothache and couldn't be seen until the Monday. I was so glad to get to the dentist, he could have taken them all out for all I cared as I had been in so much pain!
Just keep in your mind the relief you will feel once you have been and are pain free again, ready for the arrival of your wee one.

FX'd, let us know what you decide xx

Hi all,

Well everyone is really reluctant to treat me because a) i am pregnant and b) i also have epilepsy and my last fit was a year ago so everyone seems scared of the fitting pregnant lady. / I am in absolute agony though and the doc asked if my pain is worse lying down (it is) so his prescribed me some anti biotics and codiene for the pain. I'm going to collect it after 1.30pm

Hi girls bit of an update

Went dentist who temporarily filled it for me and has referred me to a centre in september time (late) so bubs is deffo here so i can be sedated to have tooth sorted (i am that nervous, was crying when he put temp in LOL) but it feels so much better as food cant get stuck etc and doc gave me codeine which is so much better than paracetamol and amoxicillian for the infection! :-) xx
