well its agony! I have implants.. and possible milk supply issues.. plus nipples that dont always 'stick out' and the whole thing really hurts!
I got a teaspoonful ish tho.. trouble is.. half of it is stuck round the inside of the bottle
I may just choose to formula feed at this rate!

Tsia, every drop is important. Alex was on ONE ml per hour to start with. So just goes to show how special each drop is.

I have the same issue when you use the higher setting it hurts more. What i best recommend is starting on the low setting and SLOWLY work up.

And make sure you massage properly too!

A really good tip with breastmilk
Its great for babies eyes when they get sleep/cold, you know when they get stuck and gooey.
Just rub some Bmilk over them clears up within hours

I remember being advised to squeeze a bit out after feeding or expressing and rubbing it into the nipple to help keep it from cracking and all

I haven't been told to try this but I did try out my breast pump yesterday and got a couple of drops of colostrum, I have heard it can help to induce labour though

Tsia, dont want to sound rude, but are you doing it properly? Im 39 weeks today and can get quite a fair bit out but you need to have your fingers about half an inch above and below your nipples.

You can express before baby comes, its recommended to mothers who know their babies are going to be born premature.

Hope this helps

Claire
