Dont know if I'm worrying for nothing...? (TMI WARNING)

Hi ladies,

For the past couple of days, I've been feeling really under the weather. Sorry if TMI, but it started with diarrhea like pains in my tummy, but nothing out of the ordinary with BM. And a bit of a fever. The next day, had really mild pains, and diarrhea started. Then the next day I started having pains around my bump, that got worse throughout the day. A really bad lower back pain, that I could not get rid of, no matter what position I was in. And diarrhea still. Today I've still had diarrhea, and pelvic pressure, and some pain. The pain is not following a pattern tho. My hands were swollen earlier, and didn't even realize how bad they were, but my ring was too tight to wear comfortably. Then while doing my makeup I realized how swollen my face is. It's terrible. And I feel awful, but DH has a family thing we have to go to tonight. I'm just really nervous because at 23 weeks, started having mild contractions which L&D stopped. I'm just nervous about it happening again, and I know that a couple of the things are early labor signs, but can also just be pregnancy discomforts. I'll call Dr., just wanted to get your girls opinions.

Sorry for kinda going on, and for TMI....
Thanks!

I really think you should call your doctor and let them know whats going on. The fact that you've already been to the labor ward for stoppage of preterm and that now you're having pains again is not good. Also, did this swelling come on rapidly? I don't want to scare you but what your describing sounds serious. Please get it checked out hon, I hope everything is ok

Call your GP as soon as possible, you have some classic signs of possible pre-eclampsia babe - don't panic!!!!! Just phone up and you will be seen and monitored in no time. Good Luck hun & I hope you feel better very soon! x

I haven't called yet.. I switched insurances, and the new doc does not have a 24 hr line. They have an emergency number you can call, and leave a message, but I haven't done that yet. I'm feeling a little better, less pain, still some pelvic pressure. But I am def calling in the morning. After I did a little bit of research I saw that many of the symptoms are related to pre-eclampsia, which worries me, but my BP is always normal, and haven't had any proteins in my urine so far. But I will still call and go in to get checked. Thank you all so much for the replies. If it gets worse I will just go to L&D tonight. Thanks again.

Make sure you do call tho babe, you need to get checked out! Try not to panic, it is good that you are feeling better, but it really is something that is better when diagnosed early!

Keep us posted babe! x
