Baby weight?

im not sure if im in the correct group here; just wanting to ask a quick question..
people keep asking me how much does my baby weighs at the moment?? But when i asked my midwife, she told me she doesnt like to say! Why is this? because other people i no have been told off their midwifes..

well i was 9st 4 when i first got weighed and that was at about 9weeks, and now im 9st 10 .. so i have only put 6lb on.. im 34weeks pregnant now..

Any ideas of what you think she could weigh?

if thats any help; just wanting to no anyway lol!! Thankss

I have no idea what my baby weighs. In fact, I didn't even know they could tell the weight before the baby was born.

Wow lucky you only putting on 6lbs! Think the reason why your midwife didn't give you an answer as to how much your baby weighs now is that it wouldn't be exact, each baby is different. Check out this link it should give you an approximate as to what your baby weighs at the mo:

You only get an estimated fetal weight if u have to have a growth scan. They measure all different parts of baby and make an estimate

And even if you jhave a growth scan it doesn't mean you get an estimate. I've had 5 growth scans and my hospital will not tell you a weight as it is really a guess and often very out

My MW kept telling me to stop asking as she didnt want to be wrong and me hate her. lol!! She then told me i was on for an 8lb baby.

I gained 1 stone while pregnant and my bump was pretty small up until around 35 weeks when it just went huge.

Roman was born at 41 weeks and he weighed 5lb 14oz. I was shocked at how small he was.

And of course the MW was wrong and told me afterwards that i shouldnt have asked. lol!!

I think a growth scan is the only way to find out.

My mw with my last baby said that she'd be about 7lb6oz (average) but she was born at 39+5 and weighed 6lb1oz. Its very difficult to tell from ur bump size x

I had my growth scan today and he is already measuring over 3 n half pounds if he stays on the same line theyve said he will be 9lbs if i went full term but i dont go to full-term anyway.

Well there was a lady on here told by growth scan that her LO was to be a 10lber and he was just over 6lb!!
