My difficult little one...

At 32 weeks she was 3/5ths engaged, at 35 weeks she appeared to be free again. Last weekend the mw thought she was back to back with me and the head still free. Today, the mw cannot for the life of her make out if the baby is head down or breach and if she is head down, she cant be sure if the head is fully engaged or totally free.

Anyway, the upshot is I get another scan this afternoon! Woohoo. Shame DH is in Birmingham and has no chance of getting home to come along. Is it wrong I'm almost hopeful she's breach so I can get a c-sec and have a def date of arrival? I'm so ready to get off this pregnancy bus now.

Will let you know how it goes, but wish me luck.

Hmmm, my 4th was like this, and he is no better now,lol. He did eventually cooperate but was born by c/s anyway cause of other complications, typical!!
That has got to be the worst part of the end of pregnancy, the waiting around for something to happen and never knowing quite when but having to be ready at all times just the same!!
I do sympathise with you

at least things are a bit more ordered if you have a c/s and you can PLAN for the arrival.

lol mines been a bugger too, when i saw the consultant he was gonna send me for a scan because "there was too many bits" he said, but then said head was down when he did the sweep.

it confirmed my suspicions im having a mutant spider baby tho lol

yay for getting another scan! I hope it goes well for you today.
I dont think its bad to want a c-sec so you know the date.. its already driving me mental not knowing when mine is going to arrive!

LOL - mine was head down and fully engaged until about 6 hours before labour began - then she decided to turn breech. I ended up having to have a c/s, and I wish I didn't actually. I still can't really pick her up well, nor can I jump out of bed to get her when she cries. It took 5 days for my milk to come in (they have to inject you with the hormone to make it start with a c/s) so feeding has been really difficult.

Mind you, I have nothing to compare it all with!!! Good luck with your decision!

Good luck at the scan. I hope you get the news you are looking for. Either way you haven't long until you have your gorgeous little one with you.

I'm in 2 minds about whether or not I want a C-section or not. If I have to have a C-section then I wont be able to drive for 6 weeks and that will be a major hassle for me but i'm TERRIFIED that this little one wont be so little and I'm not keen on birthing a huge great big baby!!

ah well jealous!!!!!!! her head been 'down' since 30 wks & still is 2day at 35 wk appt but i didnt get scan!!!!!!! mw sed i'll know when she engages as bump will drop & I'll be able to breathe again x

Hey all - had a really rubbish scan, couldn't see anything at all to be honest, however the chap did say the head is def fully engaged and that these kicks under my ribs are def coming from little feet not hands.

He did say he wasn't experienced enough to tell the sex though, which didn't fill me with a lot of confidence! So the over all experience literally provided me with nothing more than the knowledge she's not breach.

Looks like i'll just have to hold on a bit longer...
