I have wanted maternity pictures since I first found out I was preggo. But then for awhile I wanted a 4D scan instead. Now I am stuck. I have told the woman to let me know what date she is good for pictures, but now I am thinking about getting the 4D scan instead. Which should I choose?

PICTURES?
PRO I will always get to remember how my body looked during this amazing time, and it is my first pregnancy, the first time this change has occured to me.
PRO I will be able to show Colton what Daddy (he is going to be in them with me) and, especially, I looked like while we were preggo with him.
CON I probably wont show the pictures off that much, however, my BF already said 'none that are completely nude' even if I'm covered, so I will probably show more than what I think.
PRO They are cheaper...
CON However, they end up being the same by the time I by something to wear in them (mainly for Jamie [white button up, etc] and dress stuff for me)
PRO I get to be all beautified and taken pictures of. I dont have many of me preggy because I look like arse all the time!

4D SCAN?
PRO Jamie and I will get to see what more of what our LO looks like!!
CON Colton might not cooperate.
CON Costs more than getting pictures done
CON I will have to drive for awhile to somewhere that does them, since it's not that often done around here
PRO We get to see LO!!
CON .. however, we are going to see him in a few weeks anyways, and since we have waited this long, a few weeks doesn't seem so far away.

Anyways, thats all I can think of right now, as I am trying to think to hard
Let me know of any other pros and cons you can think of as well, I am probably missing some obvious things.

i say pictures, they are so lovely

I voted pics for you, only cos you seem to be more for it. I had a scan, but then I take aweful pictures, they never look like me. Seeing the baby is cool, and you bond even more, I have become more tolerant of the aches and pains since seeing bubba, but it does make you sooooo impatient
On the other hand you can take a pic of you and bump any time on any camera, seeing baby is another matter so I dunnow

I'd go with the pictures too... economical and permanent. It's cool to see baby in utero 3 or 4D but by the time you go for a scan, you're only a few weeks away from delivering anyhow

i had a 3d/4d scan it was brilliant, i dont quite know what you meanby maternity pictures but im gathering its some1 professional taking pics of u, id say go for the scan, but its upto u, couldnt you take pics of u urself or get a family member to and have both, or just go for both lol, u may aswell, i just think its a shame to miss out on either if u want them because its not like in a few months time u r going to be able to go back and get them done if u wish u had x

I voted for maternity pictures. I think they're so beautiful and make wonderful memories. 4D scans are great too but then again you still have ultrasound pictures.

Another idea is to is to do your own maternity pictures...honestly, put up a white sheet against a wall, clear some space and snap away Then you could get your 4D scan too...just thinking of more ideas.

I'd say pictures hun xxx them you can treasure for a life time and you only get them once xxxxxxxxxxx you might regret if you dont get them but the decision is all yours hun xxxxxx
