went to my 37 week appointment today, blood pressure was high and i was still measuing two week large for dates so the midwife refered me to the hospital...

when i got the hospital they measured the fluid around the baby to see if there was still too much and there was, blood pressure was fine though at the hospital

so now ive got to go back on thursday for a detailed scan which will be done by a doctor to check that the baby is weeing and swallowing the fluid properly and to see if there is any reason for it although babies liver and bowels etc were fine. then they will be making a decision wether to induce me or not because the head is down but not engaged and still quite high and my midwife thinks this is because ive got excess fluid and the baby is just bouncing off my pelvis ha. but my midwife thinks they will leave me until i am term but not let me go over.

on a slightly higher note when they scanned me they showed me that the baby has got LOADS of hair, the woman doing the scan was like "oh my god the hair on this babies head", so i just hope its light like mine and not dark like OH's so fingers crossed.

anybody been in a similar situation to this its horrible playing the waiting game to see whats going on! xxx

I haven't been in this kind of situation but I hope everything is ok. I think they worry when you're measuring large at 3+ weeks. You must be so excited, 3 weeks isn't that long!

im excited but i kinda had my heart set on being sent to be induced today hahaha! and now im more than likely not im a bit gutted. atleast i kinda know there not gona let me go over so hopefully ive only got 3 weeks left max. im not really fed up being pregnant and i dont feel really heavy or nothing its just doin me head in when it comes to getting in and out of bed and also going to the toilet is uncomfortable, feels like the baby is going to pop out and if the head isnt even engaged god help me if it does. hopefully my dates r right and not theres though and my due date is 19th lol but the midwife said even if i go into labour earlier the chances r that they will have to break my waters still because of how high the baby still is and to expect more than averadge water which is gr8 lol x

I'm glad your blood pressure is normal, sweetie.

37 wks is already full term, so your little pink bundle could be here any minute! It might not even take up to 3 weeks even!

Hopefully the baby decides to make an early entrance for you. Maybe try some technics to get things moving? I would rather go naturally than be induced. I hear its more painful
