big and small and heavy and light

Hey all

I just wanted to say that I have read loads of slightly concerned ladies threads here about the size of their little lovelies.

I was chatting to my friend who is a doc and has done a fair bit of Obs n Gynae and she assured me that many many factors influence this stuff even down to do you always have the same sonographer.

The reason the dating scan is only accurate up til about 13/14 weeks gestation is because after that all babas develop more individually. If they didn't I guess we'd all be the same size and how creepy would that be.

I also had a friend of mine tell me they said her baba was measuring big then when she had him at 39+5 he was 7lb 3oz which is not so mahoosive. The comparisons are based on the average so unless there is a concern (ie really big baba and teeny pelvis on mama or really teeny baba not getting all it needs) then lets all have a hurrah for our super little individuls

big and happy and healthy pregnancies to you all xxx
