About a month ago my baby started to move more frequently & firmer, but for the last two weeks, I have noticed a reduced about of movement. I havent noticed him kicking or hiccuping & its making me worry!

You need to get seen by your doctor or MW - 2 weeks is a long time to notice reduced movements.

Call them Asap. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Contact your MW or go to the hospital and insist they do a ctg and scan mjust to make sure everything is ok.

It could be that baby is lying in a position where you can't feel the kicks as much or that your placenta is at the front but best to be safe than sorry and go and get checked out!!!

Hope all is well.

x

I wouldnt be so concerned with reduced hiccups as my LO went for 2 days without any (usually 1 time EVERY day)and midwife said this was ok.HOWEVER if movement is considerably less then deffinantly phone asap or go in. Seeing as its both then you must not wait x

I would call midwife or the hosp asap! They are really good and will normally hook you up to a ctg but i know at our hosp they dont do this untill you are 30 weeks but depends on the hospital!! Also they told me tht it should be 10 movements a day.

Let us know how you get on xxxx

Go have a cold drink or a sugary snack (ice cream fits both huh?) - and sit or lie down in a quiet spot. Put your hands on your belly and start doing a kick count. If you can feel you baby kick at least 10 times within the hour, you're fine. If your baby doesn't respond to the food stimulation - go to the hospital and ask to get monitored.
