is this an old wives tale?

Everyone says that you shouldn't raise your arms above your head when you are pregnant.. is this true?
what will it cause?

Also, when I am sleeping, the only way I can get comfy is with one arm raised and under my pillow, then pillow, then my head, then the other arm raised and above my head with my hands held together. Is this bad for my LO?

It's an old wives tale. And a load of rubbish, arm raising is totally unrelated to anything that happens to bubbs

If you raise your arms above your head while pregnant, your baby may get the umbilical cord wrapped around its neck:

As a pregnant woman, you can safely raise your arms above your head as often as you like. You can even do the hand motions to the "YMCA" and your baby will be just fine. A wrapped umbilical cord is a result of a baby's activity in the womb and has nothing to do with the activities of the mother. x

Thanks! I have just been getting this worrying feeling that something is going to happen to his umbilical cord and his 'supply line' will be cut off. Like it will get wrapped around his neck, or he will get knots in it.

Im not laughing at you, just the thought of going through 9 months of pregnancy without raising your arms above your head. THAT would be a task lol.

How would you get dressed or wash your hair lol

xx
