I need to cry on your shoulders

I have excruciating SPD, I've had it with all pregnancies, starting earlier and earlier. I had all treatments and I'm beyond them now, it's just a matter of getting baby out.
This time it began at week 15, I've managed to not need anyone to help me get around until a week or so ago with the aid of my support belt and crutches. It's slightly better this time as I can remain upright unlike last pregnancy when I could only move around on all fours pathetic sight really.

I've 3 little boys 6 and under and an OH that has taken on a second job to make ends meet so I'm on my own in a foreign country from 6-10pm 4 days a week. Last time he managed to take the last 6 weeks off at 80% pay to care for the boys, gotta love Sweden for something. We can't afford that now.

Anyway long story, but I've just slipped in the garden, legs went different directions and I heard a loud crack. I couldn't move for a bit and when I did I just broke into tears. I'm dragging my right leg as I can't put weight on it properly, nothings broken but the pelvis is shot to pieces.

I don't even know why I'm writing this to be honest , I rang my OH to tell him and just got oh that's not good!! Again I don't know what I wanted him to say. Everyone keeps saying not long left now, well 5 weeks seems like a lifetime when in so much pain.

Thanks for letting me get it out.

Aww hun sounds like you're having a rough time.

Are you positive you didn't break anything? Any chance you can go see a doctor anyway? I know you have to pay to go the docs in Sweden (OH is swedish) but if you're in so much pain you should really try

Awww hun sadly I have been told Im also showing signs of SPD but in the back rather then pelvis. You should really get your hips checked after that fall cos you could of seriouly hurt yourself, 5 weeks will pass and i understand it will feel like forever as i am also going thru the same pain as you. Get a microwave bean bag and rest it on the pain after its been heated up, It sometimes takes the edge of and also try lavender oil to put on you pillow to help you winde down at night.

Good Luck, I hope all goes well for you, just keeping remembering the pain will end and it will be ending very soon when you hold that beautiful baby in your arms.

Best wishes

Hi!
I have had SPD in my sacro-illiac joint at the back of the pelvis (brought on by slipping off the bottom step) for the last 3 weeks. Excruciating, so I know exactly how you feel - tears and all. It may be a long shot but I would have tried anything to ease the pain, so last week I had Reflexology. That was on Thursday and by Saturday I could move around without my crutches and belt. I feel so much better - so maybe worth a go. The NHS physio I have been seeing also suggested ice for 10 minutes on the area about 3-4 times a day.
I hope it eases soon
x

hun why are they not inducing you? seriously why?

I am on number 3 and was induced at 36 weeks both times and will this time too - demand it - seriously demand it. As long as you are full term (ie 36-37 weeks) they will induce you. I know this for definate as this has happened to me and is the same this time round

you simply cannot suffer like this any longer

please demand they help you. If they see how distressed you are they will do it

PM me if you want to chat

Let me know how you get on

Chin up sweetie

Sam

When my OH ot home last night he helped me into a bath and the pain eased while in there but getting again was not pretty.
They're not inducing me as my labours are pretty intense and fast as it is and it could do more harm than good.
I rang the midwife and she is on holidays from today with no other available times for a couple of weeks, she wasn't overly concerned.
Thanks for the kind words girls
