i get the older 50 something mum... she has clearly done a great job and is still physically fit and active... but the 72 year old i thought was absolutely barking! (sorry if it offends anyone!)

even the footage of her walking along the road showed her physically struggling with walking normally- she was walking like a granny (ie someone of her age).. how would she be able to physically carry a child through pregnancy??? she was just so so so unrealistic! it made me really really really sad.....the spanish lady who has died from cancer with the twins...so selfish- those poor boys! the world has gone bananas....

It was amazing how society reacts in the UK compared to in India. There were so many older women having babies in India.

I wonder whether they are physically stronger in developing countries due to working physically hard from a very young age right in to their 80s.

Although it did say that most women don't live past 60ish.

I felt sorry for the Indian lady as she had been stigmatised (sp?) for not being able to have children, and she was still working out in the fields, so was probably physically fit, but I do think natures got a natural cut off point, which for our generation seems to be late 40's and so perhaps we should stop trying to take things beyond their natural boundaries. Thats my opinion anyway.
