If you have a excessive amount of protine that normally means you have a UTI (water infection) but if she didnt prescibe antibiotics then I dont think you should worry, just drink PLENTY and flush anything out.

They also monitor protien in your urine as it is related to pre-eclampsia but I really dont think that is anything to worry yourself over.

anyone correct me if I got this mixed up lol

xx

Also, protein can be found in the urine if you decided to have fun with your OH/DH in the morning, as sperm have protein. I remember someone mentioning it on here not that long ago.

It could be absolutely nothing. I once went in and they saw I had protein in my urine, but then they took another sample and the protein disappeared. I'm assuming sometimes these things come and go. Like the other ladies said, they monitor protein in your urine as it can lead to pre-eclampsia.

I didn't know about it until I came to this board . If you want the baby early its a good thing to try too, since they also carry something that induces labor.

That would be prostaglandins which help to ripen the cervix

I have had protein in my urine almost my whole pregnancy, they only told me once how much I was spilling and that was +1 (which was second to nothing), they really didnt say why so I asked a friend who works for a OB and she said it could have something to do with me having high blood sugar. Which since then has been all cleared up and as far as the blood sugar goes I have nothing to worry about.

They also asked me one day, I guess because it was a little higher the normal what I had eaten for breakfast and I said "jelly and toast" and I was told it could have been the jelly, maybe it has something to do with what you ate that day.

But who knows, I'm sure if it was anything more, they would have look more into it.
