My OH got swine flu, any1 else/what shall I do?

As title says my OH got swine flu my GP said over phone I should stay out of house for next couple nights till vomitting/cough/sneezing stopped. Its hard as nowhere 2 go!! Both our mums live out of area & I travel 1 hour in opposite direction for work!

Wondering whether to risk just not going near him, he been on couch past 4 nights anyway but only started with cold/cough/sickness today.

What ya reckon?

Stay away from him, I know it'll be hard but still you have to put your baby first. Can you stay at friends?

aww, you poor thing. I bet you're worried sick. They keep saying about contracting it through hands to mouth etc and surfaces so i'd get plenty of anti bac gel and just stay in different rooms as hard as it will be. Hope he's feeling better soon and that you don't get it. x

I'd listen to the GP and stay at a hotel.

My oh had swine flu or normal flu (not exactly sure) last weekend..i was also told to be careful ..but i didnt leave my house..he was forever sneezing and coughing but i just kept away..and made sure he was forever washing his hands and i was disinectin everythin. He is now fine and i havnt had any symptoms.

Hey,

I have swine flu and my DH has stayed in the house i have been using the hand gel wherever i go in the house and he has been following me round with anti bac wipes and so far he has had no signs if getting it so just make sure you keep yourself clean, and keep away from him i have been upstairs whilst hubby has been downstairs. They never said for my hubby to leave the house though and they wouldnt give him the anti viral as a precaution either as they said supplies are low.

as long as you are in different rooms or not in sneezing distance and have good hand hygiene, you should be ok. If you get symptoms, report them to your GP asap, They won't give contacts treatment so unless you have the symptoms take the above advice and fingers crossed. At the mo, swine flu is not said to be a problem for pregnant ladies unless they get serious complications eg pneumonia.

take care hun, better safe than sorry
